Over the hill. Down the road. Past the Free way. Through some towns. Down a dirt fire road and through a gate...

Many critters lived there. A llama named Latte was blocking the driveway.

They had a forest just for pigs. And a dog that lives with pigs and thinks he is one.

Eddie won us over pretty quickly. He was right between the mellow one and the hyper one.

When we came out two day old goats were sleeping under our car. We had to get their mom to call them out.

There was two of them. Baby goats that is.

The ride home was long and windy.

My burger was bigger than his head.

and then....Bam! He was home.

It hit the high twenties today on the trail! Nothing for most of you east coasters but for us Californians that's some weather. We just didn't have the right stuff to take care of that kind of chill. There was a lot of loud singing and game playing to keep us going. A long sesh by the space heater and a couple peanut butter chocolate chip cookies fixed everything....it was sooooo beautiful out there!

If you can't hang with cute move on...cause this post is gaggy cute. Recently made the decision (for Christmas, gag) to let Violet have a puppy(gag). She's been steadily mounting a campaign for a weinner dog, complete with petitions, contracts, extra chores the whole nine yards. A boy naturally so ninja can have a boyfriend. What can I say dogs are my soft spot. It didn't take much.... Here's what we've found so far..

Here's a little bag I made up today for all the loose stuff that gets lost at the bottom of your bag. You know like pens, bottle openers, tire levers, chap stick ( always have to have chapstick), patch kit...that sort of thing. The inside is made of recycled vinyl banner from our local bike shop and the outside well...you know....fun recycled stuff.

I decided to make these yesterday after pretty much the best new years day ever in japan town when I decided to get everyone a new sketchbook/journal and pen to start off the new year. We also did it right with the most ginormouos bowl of ramen, unagi, and spicy hamachi rolls...food rules!...and so does nigori sake...

The weather looks like it's gonna be clear tomorrow so Violet and I are gearing up to put on lots of layers ride to work tomorrow...
